Business events support 26 millions jobs. If the industry were a country, it would be the world’s 13th largest economy.

The Sustainability Policy of SITE Southeast is to foster and implement initiatives that support sustainability in planning and managing meetings, conferences, and events. SITE Southeast is committed to establishing a position of sustainability leadership in our industry and providing the resources and support for continual improvement.

The purpose behind this policy is a commitment to our vision, principles, and values in support of preserving and protecting environmental, social, and economic conditions impacted by our organization.

SITE Southeast will promote and lead sustainability in all meeting planning activities we control or influence. We will target specific events to execute improvement in processes and document progress.

In 2021 SITE Southeast will focus on:

  • Zero Hunger
  • Good Health and Well Being
  • Life on Land
17 sustainable development goals

SITE Southeast has developed a Roadmap to guide our steps as we travel down the road of sustainability. These are our specific 2021 goals for the chapter and the steps we will take to get there!
