Join the chapter for a day of CSR at Open Hand Atlanta!

Thank you for a wonderful turn out!

11 of our SITE Southeast family (including 2 awesome kiddos) delivered smiles and nourishment to 20 people around Atlanta - and packed over TWO THOUSAND meals!

We had 3 cars driving around Atlanta to hand-deliver nutritious meals to those in need, and 5 people (plus a few Open Hand staff) spent the afternoon packaging the meals to be delivered. In less than 4 hours, our group was able to do a world of good for our community. We look forward to doing it again soon!

What is Open Hand Atlanta?

Open Hand Atlanta is a non-profit organization that provides food and nutrition services to people in need in the Atlanta area. They offer a variety of programs, including medically tailored meals, meal delivery, and educational programs. Open Hand Atlanta is committed to providing healthy food to everyone in the community, regardless of their income or ability to pay.

What will we be doing?

Choose from two different activities:

  • PM Meal Packing: limited to 10 people; involves standing for up to 3 hours
  • SITE Meal Delivery Drivers: limited to 12 people; requires a vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance
    • SITE Passengers: limited to 24 people (2 passengers per car in addition to the driver). Communicate with your fellow SITE Southeast members prior to the event if you know who you’d like to ride with. Otherwise, you will be paired up the day of and possibly make a new friend!

Who can participate?

Friends and family are welcome! Please use the button link to register and view more details; you will need to create an account. If you bring friends or family, please be sure that each name is registered.

What is VTO?

Be sure to ask your employer if they offer VTO (Volunteer Time Off) where you can volunteer in the community without using your paid time off!
