If your vision of paradise consists of powder-white beaches and incredibly clear azure waters, Aruba is paradise. Aruba - the island of unusual landscapes, balmy breezes and tropical rhythms is an idyllic destination for anyone who loves the sun and surf.
On one side of Aruba, the Atlantic crashes over rocks, coral ridges and cliffs. On the other Aruba is surrounded by tranquil Caribbean Sea - perfect for snorkeling and swimming. In between lies a desert landscape with a charming lighthouse and windmills, towering cacti and unique twisted divi-divi trees. Aruba consistently ranks as having the least amount of rainfall in the Southern Caribbean. The calming trade winds will keep you cool in the pleasant 82-degree weather. Thanks to the island’s location outside of the hurricane belt, visitors can expect reliably great weather throughout their trip.
It’s little wonder why Aruba has more repeat visitors than other top Caribbean islands. With picture-perfect weather and natural treasures like Eagle Beach, Trip Advisor’s 3rd Best Beach in the World, island getaways to Aruba’s happy home are filled with unforgettable sights, sounds, and experiences – with untamed terrain to tour and explore, and rich cultural delicacies unique to most Caribbean islands.
In the eyes of an Aruban, the best Caribbean islands welcome and indulge every traveler’s passions. From the Dutch history of Oranjestad to the bustling resorts, casinos, and water sports of Palm Beach, to the wild hiking trails and hidden pools of Arikok National Park, island vacations in Aruba are designed to relax your senses and invigorate your soul.
One great feature is that the U.S. Customs and Global Entry located at the airport will make travelling home much more relaxed. U.S. passengers clear customs in Aruba.

Known for her innovative thinking and passion for the destination, Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) Chief Marketing Officer Sanju Luidens-Daryanani is dedicated to raising the bar on the island’s tourism efforts year after year. Mrs. Luidens-Daryanani applies 20+ years of marketing, finance and tourism expertise to effectively lead Aruba’s local and international destination marketing units – and is personally tasked with setting the strategy and direction for global marketing programs, in addition to managing overseas offices, agencies and budgets. Since her appointment as CMO in 2011, Aruba has maintained its stance as one of the most revisited destinations in the Caribbean, while simultaneously evolving to attract a fresh and more affluent audience.

Join us on this exciting excursion and let it become your best Aruba adventure ever! Set out on a rough and rugged ride towards the secluded parts of the island including our most famous and hidden gems. Discover sights, sounds and scenes of Aruba coming together in an entirely new way. Don’t expect to see white powdery sandy beaches here. Aruba’s beautiful scenery merits a visit because of their gorgeous architecture by none other than Mother Nature herself.
During this excursion across Aruba’s unique desert landscape, guests visit many of Aruba’s best known attractions such as the Ayo Rock Formation. Guests have the opportunity to see the famous Gorilla Rock, our indigenous Indian drawings, and explore the wonders of our Aloe.
Next stop is the Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins located in our desert’s interior where prospectors used to melt gold that was found on the island. Now that we are on the northern coast, its time to visit the Alto Vista Chapel (also known as the Pilgrims Church), the first Catholic church built on island.
After enjoying a fresh coconut hydration, we continue our trek along the north coast passing several cove beaches such as the Wariruri Beach, the Shark Beach, Druif Beach, the Arashi Sand Dunes, Boca Catalina, and much more. This expedition is a refreshing adventure!
After several meetings were held which led to the founding of the organization “Fundacion Pa Hende Muhe Den Dificultad” on Nov. 24, 1995. This date was specifically chosen as November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, proclaimed by the United Nations and observed worldly since 1981.
The goal of the Foundation is to better the position of the woman on Aruba, to fight violence in the family, especially against women, and render help in such situations.
The Foundation wants to achieve this goal in different ways: by raising awareness, networking for women, promoting new laws and/or changing existing laws; but also by having a shelter for battered women.
One of the goals of our Foundation is operating a Shelter for women who have been victims of battering and/or domestic violence.
In October 1999 the Foundation had the opportunity to buy a building that is perfect for the use as a shelter. In April 2000 transactions were concluded and this property was turned over in hands of our Foundation. This house has been made ready for the use as a shelter for battered women on Aruba and is operating since January 2001.
The shelter has been in operation since January 2001. It has five spacious rooms, which are completely furnished; each room has it’s own bathroom. The shelter is given on a regular basis to women and their children. Where possible the women are requested to pay a small amount for their stay and care. The shelter is given for a maximum time of 3 months. During their stay the women are given professional help to solve theirs problems and get them back on their feet as soon as possible.
And this is where our SITE Southeast Sally Suitcase comes in...
It’s time for Sally to dust off her suitcase and get ready to travel to Aruba this fall.
SITE Southeast is asking you to donate women’s gently-used professional clothing that we will present to the Aruba Foundation Against Violence during our CSR project as a part of our annual international trip, Incentive Conference Experience or ICE.
With your support, we can continue to provide assistance that inspire women to take charge of their lives and rebuild their confidence.
We plan to fill Sally’s suitcase with your generous donations!
